A versatile entertainer, Mandalynn has been in nearly a dozen indie feature films, hosted an internet radio show for two years and is working on other creative passions including screenplay and web series writing, producing and directing. Mandalynn just produced her first music video for a friend this year.
Her first role in a big movie was in “Machine Gun Preacher” with Gerard Butler (“300”, “Olympus Has Fallen”) as the friend of his on-screen daughter. After the movie was released, Mandalynn urged her parents towards Hollywood. She has been seen on CBS’s “CSI:NY” (Late Admissions), ABC’s “Scandal” (Top Of The Hour), ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” (Sledgehammer) and Disney’s I Didn’t Do It (Lindy and Logan get Psyched).
Mandalynn won three awards in 2016 for her work starring as SUMMER DEAN in “A Horse for Summer” by Nandar Entertainment and for her work on the season 12 premiere episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” as JESSICA TANNER. This summer, Lionsgate is releasing “Fishes ‘n Loaves” with Mandalynn playing the pastor’s daughter, played by Patrick Muldoon (“Days of Our Lives,” “Starship Troopers.”) Earlier this year, “The Sparrows: Nesting” was released direct to DVD and in all major retailer outlets including Walmart, Barnes and Noble, Kroger, and Best Buy.
This summer, a new original series family drama called “Roadside Stars” will be released. It stars Mandalynn as SAM LAMBERT, Candy Clark (“American Graffiti” and “Man Who Fell To Earth”) as GRANDMA LAMBERT and Gene Loveland as JACK LAMBERT. “Roadside Stars” is the story of an aging wanna-be rock-star dad who left his child to pursue his dreams, but comes back after her mother dies, to make amends. Mandalynn plays a troubled teen girl.
Currently, she is working with an Emmy-winning producer, on an original concept web series that will film in late summer 2016. It’s called “A Blind Eye” and Mandalynn is the writer and co-creator.
Mandalynn Carlson creates both in front and behind the camera. Driven towards success, the sixteen-year-old award-winning actress is a star at school, completing her second year of college with a solid 4.0 in all semesters, membership in the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society and the President’s Honor Roll at SBCC. Born in Detroit and raised in the suburbs, Mandalynn Carlson is an only child.
